Camden Archives and Museum Tour

Welcome to the Camden Archives and Museum. We are a department of the City of Camden. The original part of our facility was built in 1915 as Camden’s Public Library. In 1974, the City designated this building as a city archives and museum after the county and city libraries merged. We collect archival material and three dimensional objects which tell the history of Old Camden District. You are invited to visit the museum or do family and historical research in our library. Let’s take a quick tour of the research room, the museum gallery and the “behind-the-scenes” tour of the collections work room and the collections storage areas. Just peruse the photographs which follow to see what we’re all about!

We look forward to seeing you at the Camden Archives and Museum in the near future. Special thanks to J. Deal who helped capture the overall vision of a virtual tour through the photographs.
