The Clean Community Commission is composed of two appointees of the City and 5 from the County. The Camden/Kershaw County Clean Community Commission’s responsibility is to study the litter control problems in the county and the city and to make recommendation to the governmental bodies. The Commission stresses beautification and, through community networking, encourages litter control support and responsible stewardship. The Clean Community Commission is presently working on the “Trace Project” which is developing a three mile walk extending from Historic Camden to Quaker Cemetery to include within Quaker Cemetery and preservation of the “Camden Oak” located at the corner of Meeting and Church Streets.
