The Parks and Streets Commission reviews and makes recommendations on all matters submitted to it regarding Chapter 100 (Tree Ordinance).

Margot Rochester Landscaping Award

Presented by City of Camden Parks and Streets Commission

Eligibility: Commercial businesses, public institutions, organizations, public buildings & grounds, churches and schools – all within the city limits.

Criteria: Landscaped areas of exceptional and/or unique beauty and design. Consideration given to proper selection and use of plant material, incorporation of existing topography and natural environment, use of functional and decorative garden objects. Major consideration also given to continued maintenance and upkeep of nominated area.

Timing: May 1- May 30

Selection Process:  Judges to meet at Price House on June 5, 2010. Scale to be designed by judges.

Award: Margot Rochester Parks and Streets Commission Award (Plaque)

Recognition: Mid June at City Council Meeting.
Publicity in local media and radio starting in mid April.

Local Promotion: Flyers, Chamber, Fine Arts, City Council, Newspaper, Garden Clubs, Radio, Schools and Churches, etc.
