The Employment of People with Disabilities Committee promotes employment of the disabled “by creating community interest in rehab and employment” of these citizens, and by obtaining and maintaining cooperation from all public and private groups in the field. The Committee does not provide rehab or job placement services. The Mayor’s Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities presented awards during the Committee’s Human Resource Manager’s Luncheon held at the Health Resource Center on October 6, 2005 to Small Business Leader Morgan Stanley, Mid-size Business Leader Springdale Health Care and Large Business Leader DeRoyal Textiles for their outstanding contributions in furthering the employment of individuals with disabilities.
