Grant Writer

The City of Camden is accepting applications for an experienced grant writer. The position is responsible for preparing all grant applications, administering grants, performing accounting and other associated functions with state, federal, and other entities. 

Applicant must have bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing, Public Administration or related field with a minimum of two years experience in the government sector dealing with federal, state and private source grant funding or a combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. 

This is a full time position with SC PEBA Retirement and Insurance, annual and sick leave, and holidays. Salary DOQ.  Applicants will be subject to a thorough background investigation, criminal history and drug screening.  Position open until filled. 

Welcome Center Information Specialist

The City of Camden is seeking a dynamic, outgoing individual able to work independently as a customer service specialist in the city’s welcome center. Along with interacting with the public, the applicant will also be expected to assist with tourism marketing and promotion.  
The preferred applicant will have a BA or equivalent experience in marketing, public relations, or the hospitality industry.  Excellent communication and computer skills are required.  Experience with Microsoft Office a must.

Patrol Officer

Under general supervision, is responsible for the fair and equal enforcement of all local and state ordinances and laws. Ensures and participates in the enforcement of traffic laws and regulations to include investigating traffic accidents, ensuring safety of streets and sidewalks, directing traffic at various public events, operating various related equipment, etc. Reports to the Sergeant, Shift Supervisor.
