Purchasing – Warehouse Supervisor 

The Camden seeks a responsible, self-motivated, detail orientated individual that can work under limited supervision, planning, organizing, and participating in warehouse operations and distribution activities including receiving, ordering, processing, storing, and issuing warehouse supplies, to include inventory audits. Prefers a minimum of three years of experience in warehouse shipping and receiving, with some supervisory responsibility. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in the diverse environment required in public works operations are desirable.

FIREFIGHTER
Camden Fire Department is accepting applications for a full-time paid firefighter. Position comes with complete benefits package to include SC Police Officers Retirement, SC PEBA health, dental and life insurance, paid vacation and sick leave. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, one to two years firefighting experience and a valid SC driver's license. EOE

PATROL OFFICER

Under general supervision, is responsible for the fair and equal enforcement of all local and state ordinances and laws. Ensures and participates in the enforcement of traffic laws and regulations to include investigating traffic accidents, ensuring safety of streets and sidewalks, directing traffic at various public events, operating various related equipment, etc. Reports to the Sergeant, Shift Supervisor.

EQUIPMENT OPERATOR II (SANITATION DEPT.)

Under general supervision, operates a variety of heavy equipment in order to assist with the sanitation activities of the Public Works Department. Collects and transports commercial and residential trash. Operates collection truck and refuse vehicles on assigned routes and transports refuse to disposal sites. Performs routine cleaning, inspection and maintenance on vehicles. Assists with loading and unloading as needed. Performs other related duties as required.

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Requires two (2) years related experience and a Class “A” or Class “B” commercial driver’s license.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:  Must be physically able to operate a collection vehicle as well as a variety of maintenance tools and equipment. Must be physically able to exert up to fifty (50) pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Position involves walking, reaching, bending, crouching, reclining, stooping and balancing, and is in excess of sedentary work. Must be able to lift and/or carry up to fifty (50) pounds.

TREE TRIMMER

Performs routine tree trimming, cutting and beautification. Trims and removes large trees and dangerous limbs that could interfere with electric lines. Assists with other various activities such as driving trucks, grass cutting, etc. 

Must live within a 30 minute response time.

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: High school graduate with a minimum of two (2) years experience in electric and tree work or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.  Must possess a valid South Carolina driver’s license.
