2016 Hurricane Hike
The S.C. State Guard - a volunteer organization created to assist the S.C. National Guard in the event of a disaster - will host its 2016 Hurricane Hike on Saturday, September 10 in Camden.
Hundreds of members of the State Guard, S.C. National Guard, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marine Corps., U.S. Army, U.S. Special Forces, Citadel Cadet Corps, first responders and more are expected to participate. Participants will hike 6.2 miles carrying a 45-pound pack through downtown Camden. The hike will begin at 8 am and conclude at Noon at Camden City Arena, with awards and remarks by dignitaries. Family Day Activities for the children of hike participants will be held from 11 am to 3 pm at Historic Camden, adjacent to the City Arena. @hurricanehike
