Classic Southern Summer Day in Camden & Kershaw County

A classic southern summer day in Camden and Kershaw County! The third annual South Carolina 7 Expedition is coming this July 16th to Camden and Kershaw County.
This fun-packed day will begin at 12:00pm with "Yakking the River" on the Wateree. Participants will float downriver from the Lugoff Landing to the Camden Riverfront Environmental Park. Kayak drop off begins at 9:30 at Lugoff Landing,Tail Race Road, Lugoff, SC 29078
Beginning around 3:30, everyone will enjoy the maiden hike of South Carolina's newest urban trail connector on the Palmetto Trail, the Chotty Trail. The Chotty Trail is an easy 3.5 mile hike from the Riverfront Park to the Revolutionary War Visitor Center with plenty of scenic views and places of historic interest along the way.
And starting at 5:30-6:00, everyone is invited to end the day with the Sawgrass Bluegrass band. We'll have food trucks, the Rev War Center exhibit will be open late for visitors, and Liberty Hall will feature the award-winning video "Higher Ground" on a continuous loop throughout the evening.
