Let's Talk About... the Civil Rights Movement in South Carolina

Bobby J. Donaldson, PH.D., Associate Professor of History and head of the Center for Civil Rights Research at the University of South Carolina will present a program on the Civil Rights Movement in South Carolina, with particular emphasis on events in Camden during the 1950s and 1960s.
The program is part of a new lecture series on African American culture in Camden and Kershaw County. Light refreshments will follow.
Dr. Donaldson is a noted scholar of southern history and African American life and culture in the 19th and 20th centuries. His research and lecture topics explore African American intellectual thought, education, religion, and print culture.
