MLK Unity Celebration

The Concerned Citizens of Kershaw County, in partnership with the City of Camden, Unity in the Community and the Camden-Kershaw County Branch of the NAACP, will hold the second annual MLK Unity Celebration on Saturday, January 14, 2023.
This is a celebration of unity to recognize and continue the unifying work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. amongst all people. It is a day to honor the messages of Unity, Equity and Education as we celebrate the youth of Kershaw County.
The event will begin with a rally and gathering at the African American Cultural Center of Camden, located at 517 York Street, followed by a march to Camden City Hall, 1000 Lyttleton Street. The Unity Celebration program will take place on City Hall's front lawn at 12:00 pm. Speakers will include various community leaders and youth from Kershaw County. School choirs and bands, along with other organizations, will participate in the celebration as well.
Sponsors and those wishing to participate in the event are encouraged to email the Concerned Citizens of Kershaw County at concernedcitizenskc@gmail.com.
