Tales of Tragedy Guided Tour

2020 has been a tough year for most of us. Kershaw County is no stranger to tragedy. We will visit four tragedies that span nearly 200 years. About this Event Saturday December 5, 2020 at 10am - noon You drive, we guide! This is a four stop driving tour that focuses on Kershaw County tragedies that span nearly 200 years. Our guides will greet you at each location and share history about the places you visit and tell you how local tragedies impacted life there forever. The tour begins in Camden,SC at the Old Presbyterian Burying Ground near Quaker Cemetery and ends in Historic Boykin, SC. After the tour we encourage you to explore Boykin and visit the Country Christmas Trunk Show at Old McCaskill's Farm. LIMITED TICKETS AVAILABLE Please wear comfortable shoes and dress according to the weather that day. There will be limited walking. Sunscreen/insect repellent recommended year-round. Content of this tour is geared towards ages 12 & older. No pets, please. Covid recommendations: This is an outdoor event where social distancing should be observed. The City of Camden does have a mask ordinance for indoors or areas where social distancing is not possible. Refunds available only if the event is cancelled due to Covid restrictions or weather. A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Quaker Cemetery Association cemetery maintenance fund.
