Administrative Assistant II - Utilities Administration
GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB
Under general supervision, performs advanced administrative assistant duties in support of the Utilities Department to include assisting citizens, maintaining files, data entry, preparing reports, operating computer, and general department duties as needed. Reports to the Utilities Director. Seeking a self-motivated, highly organized and detail-oriented individual.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
-Performs general administrative functions in support of the Utilities Department.
-Communicates with crews through radio dispatch and mobile communications.
-Performs general support activities to include answering phones, greeting visitors, providing general customer service, preparing and distributing department work orders, distributing mail, issuing meter bases, and providing basic administrative assistant support to include typing and filing.
-Manages office inventory of supplies, small equipment and forms.
-Receives, prepares, reviews and submits various reports and records including phone messages, draft letters, memorandums, billing invoices, parts invoices, department work orders, back-flow reports, customer service orders, etc.
-Operates and utilizes various types of machinery and equipment including computer, calculator, copier, printer, fax machine, telephone and various general office supplies. Maintaining office equipment by troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for and expediting repairs to ensure equipment is operational.
-Duties will also include part time work in the Finance Department receipting utility payments, setting up utility accounts and providing customer service.
ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Performs other related duties as required.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
-Requires high school diploma or equivalent three to five years of experience in an administrative capacity or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
-Must have a valid SC Driver’s License.

FIREFIGHTER
PATROL OFFICER
Under general supervision, is responsible for the fair and equal enforcement of all local and state ordinances and laws. Ensures and participates in the enforcement of traffic laws and regulations to include investigating traffic accidents, ensuring safety of streets and sidewalks, directing traffic at various public events, operating various related equipment, etc. Reports to the Sergeant, Shift Supervisor.
