Boil Water Advisory Repeal for Customers on Johnson Lane and a Short Section of Kirkwood Lane

FOR THE CUSTOMERS OF THE CITY OF CAMDEN WATER SYSTEM IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:
JOHNSON LANE AND A SHORT SECTION OF KIRKWOOD LANE
(108 KIRKWOOD LN, 96, 102, AND 107 JOHNSON LN, 1942 AND 2026 LYTTLETON ST)

The City of Camden advises its water customers located in the above area, that the Amended Boil Water Advisory issued on September 18, 2017 is being repealed. However, the water was not turned off today due to ongoing difficulties with shutting off a valve on the old water system and the contractor was not able to complete all of the work. When the Contractor is prepared to isolate the old line the City will issue a new Boil Water Advisory.

It is currently not necessary to boil your water. The City will notify its customers in the near future when the water will be turned off and the work will commence again.

We apologize for any inconvenience regarding the return to normal conditions and appreciate the cooperation from our customers. Again the Amended Boil Water Advisory issued September 18th, which was issued as a matter of precaution only, for the above listed area has been lifted. Should you have any questions, please contact the City of Camden Public Works office at (803) 425-6045 or SCDHEC at (803) 778-1531.
