Camden Police Department Arrests Home Invasion Suspect

On February 19, 2023, at approximately 12:50 pm, the Camden Police Department responded to a report of a home invasion between Broad Street and Lyttleton Street in Camden. Officers assigned to "Alpha Shift" quickly arrived at the scene, where they met with the victims and obtained a detailed description of the suspect.

Thanks to the efforts of Camden Police Officers assigned to "Alpha Shift" and responding detectives, the suspect, 57-year-old Troy Douglas Jenkins, was apprehended a short distance away from the incident location without incident. Jenkins has been charged with Burglary 1st Degree, Assault and Battery 1st Degree, Armed Robbery, two counts of Kidnapping, and Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime. Jenkins is currently being held in the Kershaw County Detention Center awaiting bond.
