City launches TV Ad Campaign

Camden is close to you and close to perfect!

Camden is embarking on a television advertising campaign designed to attract visitors to eat, shop, stay and play in Camden. According to Suzi Sale, city tourism and economic development director, the advertising message - close to you and close to perfect - emphasizes Camden's 'easy proximity' in the South Carolina Midlands region. 

"Camden really is the sweet spot of the central midlands region of South Carolina," said Sale. "And we want everyone to think of Camden as 'right here'  - so come on over."

The campaign kicks-off the week of February 18th on regional NBC affiliate WIS-TV, which reaches more than 400,000 households in midlands. 

The advertising message is as follows: Come discover Camden, a destination that’s close to home and unlike any other. A vibrant place to eat, shop, stay and play, in a city filled with beauty, charm and history.  Enjoy our classic Carolina lifestyle. It’s laid back and lively. Timeless and thriving.
