City offers Historic Preservation Course

As a continuation of the Citizens Planning College, the City of Camden is pleased to announce a new course on historic preservation. This course will last four weeks and will provide an introduction to the concept of historic preservation and how it is applied at the national, state and local level. Classes will include a discussion of the new Camden Design Guidelines and how they are applied by staff and the Historic Landmarks Commission.

The course curriculum is as follows:

September 3, 2015    National and State Historic Programs
September 10, 2015    Basics of Historic Preservation
September 17, 2015    Historic Preservation in Camden
September 24, 2015    Camden Design Guidelines

The course will meet at City Hall in the Training Room from 5:30pm – 6:30pm. Certificates of Achievement will be awarded to each of our graduates after the program is completed.
