Community Parade of Thanks Dec. 20

The Camden City Council and Kershaw County Council will jointly host a Community Parade of Thanks in honor of outgoing Senator Vincent Sheheen and State Representative Laurie Funderburk.

On Sunday, December 20 Kershaw County residents, organizations, and businesses are invited to line up in their vehicles starting at 2:30 pm at Camden Elementary School to parade down Lyttleton Street to the Camden City Arena, where Sheheen and Funderburk will be stationed at the front entrance under the portico. All are invited to participate in showing our gratitude and appreciation for their many years of service to our community.

Laurie Funderburk served as a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2005 to 2020. Vincent Sheheen served as a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2001 to 2004, and as a member of the South Carolina Senate from 2004 to 2020. As such, both have served the citizens of Kershaw County with passion, enthusiasm, and dedication.

Those interested in participating in this community parade of appreciation should contact LeeAnne Wall at Camden City Hall, 803-432-2421.
