First "Police in the Park" Event a Success

Camden Police Department held its first of many "Police in the Park" events Saturday, June 9th at Boykin Park.

This free event provided an opportunity for residents of the neighborhood to come out and enjoy food, games and fun while meeting some of Camden's finest. Residents were encouraged to share any concerns they may have about their residential community during Saturday's safe and friendly environment.

More than 100 residents enjoyed hot dogs courtesy of Camden Police Department, Kona Ice, a bouncy house donated by Kershaw Baptist Association, health and wellness activities provided by King Haigler Athletic Club and more. Special thanks go out to the participating businesses and organizations who donated their time and services, including Palmetto Contracting and Sign Solutions for cornhole boards. Fun was had by all who came out that afternoon!

Camden Police Department plans to host a "Police in the Park" event in each of the City's parks in the coming months. Check back to the Camden Police Department Facebook page to see where they will be in July!
