Last "Police in the Park" of 2019 a Great Success

The Camden Police Department held its largest and most successful "Police in the Park" event at Boykin Park on Nov. 2.

Hundreds of residents from all over came to socialize with police officers, enjoy a mobile arcade, bounce house, other games and activities, and a great meal!

The Camden Police Department was joined by many local businesses and organizations who wanted to lend a hand, donate food and other items, and connect with our community. Many thanks to all the community partners who participated, including: Food for the Soul, Harvest Hope Food Bank, Serve & Connect, Kirkwood Community Progressive Organization, Abundant Life Church, Edward’s Chapel, Gordon Street Church of God, Sanders Creek Baptist Church, Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Westville Fire Department, Kershaw County's EMS and Detention Center staff, Sandhills Medical Foundation, and the Community Medical Clinic.

Many thanks also go to the officers, volunteers, and neighbors who helped make the event a great success. The CPD looks forward to many more "Police in the Park" events throughout Camden in 2020.
