Public Hearing - Budget Amendment

The City Council of the City of Camden will conduct a public hearing related to a second amendment to the City’s annual budget for the Fiscal Year 2022-2023, relating to: (i) increases the City’s electric energy charges, (ii) reduces the energy tiers from 4 to 2, and (iii) changes the fuel adjustment surcharge.

The Hearing will be held during the City Council meeting on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at 5:30 pm in Council Chambers located at 1000 Lyttleton Street, Camden, SC. The following information is provided with respect to the Budget Amendment, which only affects the City’s Utility Fund:

Increase of City electric energy charges by:  10.7%

Reduce City Fuel Surcharge to kWh usage to:  0.015 per kWh

Effective Date. The changes to the electric rates and adjustments related to the Fuel Surcharge as described Section 1 above shall each be effective on February 1, 2023, and shall apply to all electric usage occurring in January 2023 or any other usage period that will be billed after February 1, 2023.
