Test Well Drilling to Affect Town Green Parking Area Thursday 9/8

Midlands Environmental Consultants will be on site in the Town Green parking area drilling small test wells for ground water testing, as part of a SCDHEC assessment of a nearby former service station site. Parking spaces will be coned off Thursday and potentially Friday morning, as a result of this. 

In the Hazelwood parking area, between Gallery 537 and Wells Fargo, six spaces will be unavailable Thursday morning. Drilling will begin at 7:30 am at that location. Five of the six spaces are expected to be available by Thursday afternoon. One will remain unavailable until Friday morning. 

In the parking area north of Town Green, three spaces will be unavailable for most of Thursday. 

In the parking area east of Town Green, the six spaces below the wheelchair accessible parking will be unavailable all day Thursday and potentially Friday morning.

All other test wells will be drilled on private properties or in the right of way, and should not affect additional public parking. Traffic may be affected, however.
