Traffic and Parking Announcement Related to Patrick Davis Concert on Town Green Sept 7

In preparation for the Patrick Davis & His Midnight Choir concert on the Camden Town Green this coming Friday, September 7th, the City would like to alert residents as to how free public parking around Town Green will be affected.

The parking spaces north of Town Green – behind Wells Fargo/Graham Realty – will be closed in the early morning hours Friday and will remain closed until the event ends. Parking spaces on the east and south sides of the Town Green will be open throughout Friday morning, and individual spaces will be closed in the afternoon, as vehicles vacate them. The City requests that all vehicles be removed from the east and south sides by 4 pm on Friday, in order for event set up to run smoothly in preparation for “gates” opening at 6 pm. All public parking spaces will be open Saturday, September 8th.

Vehicle access will not be restricted along the west side of Town Green, so that customers may access the rear entrances of Broad Street businesses, as well as any private parking spaces.

Vehicle access from Market Street may be restricted prior to and during the concert, in order to ensure the safety of performers, vendors and event attendees.

Event attendees can find free parking at Lyttleton Street, on either side of City Hall, Haigler Lane, and Commerce Alley, including the grass lot adjacent to paved parking on Rutledge Street. These parking areas are all within one block of Town Green.

The City hopes this alert helps to prevent confusion and alleviate concerns for residents and event attendees. If you have any questions, please call City Hall at 803-432-2421. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
